DECA

DECA was fundamental to Julio’s growth as a teenager. It’s 75 year history preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs with leadership skills has had an impact on thousands of students.

With 177,000 members, 3,200 high school chapters, 200 collegiate chapters, 5,300 advisors and their consistent focus on building well-rounded leaders, it’s no wonder they are supported by the largest organizations in the nation. We hope to be one of those large organizations in the future. In the meantime, we hope our small donation can help further their reach.

How can you get involved with DECA?

Their website has several ways for you to make an impact directly or indirectly.

Donate

A tax deductible donation changes student’s lives forever. Your generous financial support helps connect students to our competitive events, scholarship and leadership development programs.

Join National Advisory Board

The NAB is comprised of 50 corporations, foundations, universities and associations that provide recommendations, advice and support to the DECA Board of Directors, straw, advisors and chartered associations.

Volunteer

Donating your time to DECA takes shape in different ways such as judging competitive events, attending DECA exhibits, or advising through DECA’s Executive Mentor Program.

What we love

The most memorable moments that led to Julio’s growth was shared with other high school students in the DECA network. It taught him how to think critically, support teammates, face competition, as well as win and fail together. We want to personally thank Mrs. Gourley at The Woodlands High School for, as Ever Garrison said best, being a “compass that activated magnets of curiosity, knowledge and wisdom in [her] pupils.”
